Notes


  • Eva’s love for her children is complex and complicated. Today, students will learn of her struggles to keep baby Plum alive and to keep all of the children fed after BoyBoy leaves. Students will infer that Eva cut her leg off for her children and will debate if this is love or not.
  • Assign pp. 35–37 for homework.
