Target Task

Writing Prompt

A one-pager is a way to visually share key ideas and information. When you create a one-pager, you're trying to use both keywords and images to clearly and concisely share your most important takeaways about a text.

Create an 8.5 x 11-inch one-pager on which you share your understanding of Fahrenheit 451 using words, quotations, and images. Use a template provided OR create your own visual. Your one-pager should:

  • Include the title and author somewhere on the page
  • Use at least two colors
  • Include a border that represents (through words/images/quotes) the key themes from the text
  • Include an important symbol from the text with a quotation and explanation.
  • Include images and/or words that represent the key themes from the play that can be applied to today with an explanation
  • Words and/or images that show the significance of the setting in some way.
  • Images with 2 significant quotations that show how Montag changes over the course of the text
  • All quotations include pager numbers
