Describe Brian’s current predicament. How does he respond? Provide two or three specific examples from the text to support your answer.

What plan does Brian make in his mind? Why?

Read pages 40-51 in Hatchet. Describe Brian’s predicament. Based on what you know about wilderness survival, what would you do in his situation? Explain why.
