Criteria for Success


  1. Identify the value of a quarter, dime, nickel, and penny. 
  2. Use the value of quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies to count in order to find the sum of a coin collection.
  3. Skip-count starting with the highest value coin to find the sum.
  4. Recognize patterns to count efficiently by making the next decade number (i.e., knowing 25 and 5 make 30 and counting on from 30).
