  • This chapter is longer, but students will read it twice. The focus of this lesson, and the first read, is on how Peggy and Maddie treat Wanda. On the second read, students will be pushed to analyze character point of view and why point of view may differ from character to character. 
  • This is the first chapter where the majority of vocabulary words include multiple prefixes and suffixes. Guide students in using word parts to determine the meaning of the targeted vocabulary words.
