4th Grade Math

In this Common Core-aligned course, students develop an understanding of multi-digit multiplication and division; fraction equivalence and operations with fractions; and classification and analysis of geometric figures and their angles.

6th Grade Math

Students learn key concepts in their progression towards middle school algebra, including ratios and rates, rational numbers, algebraic expressions and equations, area and volume, and statistics.

7th Grade Math

In this course students develop their skills in proportional reasoning, rational number computation, expressions and equations, geometry, and statistics and probability.

8th Grade Math

Students make several advances in their algebraic reasoning as they solve systems of linear equations, use functions to describe relationships, and analyze two- and three-dimensional figures.

Geometry

Students further their understanding of geometric relationships and learn to make formal mathematical arguments about geometric situations, with a heavy emphasis on transformations and proofs.

10th Grade - Constructions, Proof, and Rigid Motion

Students use the properties of circles to construct and understand different geometric figures, and lay the groundwork for constructing mathematical arguments through proof.

10th Grade - Congruence in Two Dimensions

Students identify, perform, and algebraically describe rigid motions to establish congruence of two dimensional polygons, including triangles, and develop congruence criteria for triangles.

10th Grade - Dilations and Similarity

Students use constructions to explore dilations in order to define and establish similarity, and they prove and use similarity criterion and theorems in the solution of problems.

8th Grade - Transformations and Angle Relationships

Students investigate congruence and similarity by studying transformations of figures in the coordinate plane, and apply these transformations to discover new angle relationships.

7th Grade - Percent and Scaling

Students expand on and apply their understanding of percentages by studying percent increase and decrease, percent applications such as tax and simple interest, and scaled geometric drawings.

7th Grade - Geometry

Students apply algebraic and proportional reasoning skills to investigate angle relationships, circle measurements, uniqueness of triangles, and solid figure application problems.

6th Grade - Geometry

Students explore measurements of geometric figures in two-and three-dimensions, finding area, surface area, and volume in mathematical and real-world problems.

4th Grade - Shapes and Angles

Students are introduced to the more abstract concepts of points, lines, line segments, rays, and angles, as they learn to measure angles and then analyze shapes by their angles and lines of symmetry.

7th Grade Math - Unit 6: Geometry - Lesson 12

Draw two-dimensional geometric shapes using rulers, protractors, and compasses.

Geometry - Unit 2: Congruence in Two Dimensions - Lesson 12

Develop Angle, Side, Angle (ASA) and Side, Side, Side (SSS) congruence criteria. Describe how the criteria develop from rigid motions.

Geometry - Unit 3: Dilations and Similarity - Lesson 12

Prove angle-angle criterion for two triangles to be similar.

7th Grade Math - Unit 6: Geometry - Lesson 13

Determine if three side lengths will create a unique triangle or no triangle.

Geometry - Unit 2: Congruence in Two Dimensions - Lesson 13

Use triangle congruence criteria, rigid motions, and other properties of lines and angles to prove congruence between different triangles.

Geometry - Unit 3: Dilations and Similarity - Lesson 13

Use angle-angle criterion to prove two triangles to be similar.

8th Grade Math - Unit 3: Transformations and Angle Relationships - Lesson 14

Describe the effects of dilations and rigid motions on figures using coordinate points.
