4th Grade Math

In this Common Core-aligned course, students develop an understanding of multi-digit multiplication and division; fraction equivalence and operations with fractions; and classification and analysis of geometric figures and their angles.

6th Grade Math

Students learn key concepts in their progression towards middle school algebra, including ratios and rates, rational numbers, algebraic expressions and equations, area and volume, and statistics.

7th Grade Math

In this course students develop their skills in proportional reasoning, rational number computation, expressions and equations, geometry, and statistics and probability.

8th Grade Math

Students make several advances in their algebraic reasoning as they solve systems of linear equations, use functions to describe relationships, and analyze two- and three-dimensional figures.

Geometry

Students further their understanding of geometric relationships and learn to make formal mathematical arguments about geometric situations, with a heavy emphasis on transformations and proofs.

10th Grade - Constructions, Proof, and Rigid Motion

Students use the properties of circles to construct and understand different geometric figures, and lay the groundwork for constructing mathematical arguments through proof.

7th Grade - Numerical and Algebraic Expressions

Students manipulate expressions into different equivalent forms as they expand, factor, add, and subtract numerical and algebraic expressions and face authentic real-world, multi-step problems.

8th Grade - Transformations and Angle Relationships

Students investigate congruence and similarity by studying transformations of figures in the coordinate plane, and apply these transformations to discover new angle relationships.

7th Grade - Geometry

Students apply algebraic and proportional reasoning skills to investigate angle relationships, circle measurements, uniqueness of triangles, and solid figure application problems.

10th Grade - Circles

Students expand their knowledge of circles to establish relationships between angle measures in and around circles, line segments and lines in and around circles, and portions of circles as related to area and circumference.

6th Grade - Geometry

Students explore measurements of geometric figures in two-and three-dimensions, finding area, surface area, and volume in mathematical and real-world problems.

4th Grade - Shapes and Angles

Students are introduced to the more abstract concepts of points, lines, line segments, rays, and angles, as they learn to measure angles and then analyze shapes by their angles and lines of symmetry.

7th Grade Math - Unit 6: Geometry - Lesson 1

Identify and determine values of angles in complementary and supplementary relationships.

7th Grade Math - Unit 6: Geometry - Lesson 2

Use vertical, complementary, and supplementary angle relationships to find missing angles.

7th Grade Math - Unit 6: Geometry - Lesson 3

Use equations to solve for unknown angles. (Part 1)

Geometry - Unit 7: Circles - Lesson 4

Define a chord to derive the Chord Central Angles Conjecture and Thales’ Theorem.

7th Grade Math - Unit 6: Geometry - Lesson 4

Use equations to solve for unknown angles. (Part 2)

Geometry - Unit 7: Circles - Lesson 5

Describe the relationship between inscribed and central angles in terms of their intercepted arc.

Geometry - Unit 1: Constructions, Proof, and Rigid Motion - Lesson 7

Use angle relationships around a point to find missing measures. Prove angle relationships around a point using geometric statements and reasons.
