6th Grade Math

Students learn key concepts in their progression towards middle school algebra, including ratios and rates, rational numbers, algebraic expressions and equations, area and volume, and statistics.

7th Grade Math

In this course students develop their skills in proportional reasoning, rational number computation, expressions and equations, geometry, and statistics and probability.

8th Grade Math

Students make several advances in their algebraic reasoning as they solve systems of linear equations, use functions to describe relationships, and analyze two- and three-dimensional figures.

Algebra 1

Students explore linear, quadratic, and exponential functions, and develop a deep understanding of the features of each function—graphically and algebraically—as they create models and analyze situations.

Algebra 2

Students develop their conceptual understanding, fluency, and ability to apply advanced functions, draw connections between function types, and build functions that model contextual situations.

11th Grade - Linear Functions and Applications

Students review and extend the Algebra 1 skills of graphing, manipulating, and describing solutions in order to deepen their understanding of modeling situations using linear functions.

8th Grade - Solving One-Variable Equations

Students hone their skills of solving multi-step equations and inequalities, redefining their definition of "solution" to include cases such as infinite solutions, and interpreting solutions in context.

9th Grade - Linear Expressions & Single-Variable Equations/Inequalities

Students become proficient at manipulating and solving single-variable linear equations and inequalities, and using them to model and interpret contextual situations.

11th Grade - Rational and Radical Functions

Students will extend their understanding of inverse functions to functions with a degree higher than 1, and factor and simplify rational expressions to reveal domain restrictions and asymptotes.

9th Grade - Functions and Transformations

Students take a deeper look at piecewise functions and absolute value functions, and study how transformations of functions can be identified graphically and represented algebraically.

Algebra 1 - Unit 5: Functions and Transformations - Lesson 2

Graph piecewise functions presented algebraically and write piecewise functions from graphs.

Algebra 1 - Unit 3: Linear Expressions & Single-Variable Equations/Inequalities - Lesson 2

Use properties of equations to analyze and write equivalent equations.

Algebra 1 - Unit 3: Linear Expressions & Single-Variable Equations/Inequalities - Lesson 3

Solve single-variable linear equations using properties of equality.

8th Grade Math - Unit 2: Solving One-Variable Equations - Lesson 3

Justify each step in solving a multi-step equation with variables on one side of the equation.

8th Grade Math - Unit 2: Solving One-Variable Equations - Lesson 4

Write and solve multi-step equations to represent situations, with variables on one side of the equation.

8th Grade Math - Unit 2: Solving One-Variable Equations - Lesson 5

Solve equations with variables on both sides of the equal sign.

Algebra 1 - Unit 5: Functions and Transformations - Lesson 9

Identify the solution(s) to an absolute value inequality.
