7th Grade Math

In this course students develop their skills in proportional reasoning, rational number computation, expressions and equations, geometry, and statistics and probability.

8th Grade Math

Students make several advances in their algebraic reasoning as they solve systems of linear equations, use functions to describe relationships, and analyze two- and three-dimensional figures.

Algebra 1

Students explore linear, quadratic, and exponential functions, and develop a deep understanding of the features of each function—graphically and algebraically—as they create models and analyze situations.

Geometry

Students further their understanding of geometric relationships and learn to make formal mathematical arguments about geometric situations, with a heavy emphasis on transformations and proofs.

9th Grade - Descriptive Statistics

Students analyze contextual situations, focusing on single variable data and bivariate data, and are introduced to the concept of using data to make predictions and judgments about a situation.

7th Grade - Statistics

Students investigate how to use sampling to make inferences about larger populations of interest, engaging in hands-on activities to select random samples and to compare samples of different sizes.

10th Grade - Probability

Students formalize their understanding of compound probability, develop an understanding of conditional probability, and understand and calculate permutations and combinations.

7th Grade - Probability

Students have their first encounter with probability, as they develop their understanding of probability through calculating theoretical probabilities and designing and running their own simulations.

8th Grade - Bivariate Data

Students combine their knowledge of linear functions with knowledge of data representations and analysis to make the jump from univariate data in one variable to bivariate data in two variables.

Geometry - Unit 8: Probability - Lesson 7

Calculate and analyze relative frequencies in two-way tables to make statements about the data and determine independence.

8th Grade Math - Unit 8: Bivariate Data - Lesson 7

Create and analyze two-way tables representing bivariate categorical data.

8th Grade Math - Unit 8: Bivariate Data - Lesson 8

Calculate relative frequencies in two-way tables to investigate associations in data.

8th Grade Math - Unit 8: Bivariate Data - Lesson 9

Complete two-way tables and identify associations in the data.

Algebra 1 - Unit 2: Descriptive Statistics - Lesson 13

Define categorical and numerical data. Create two-way tables to organize bivariate categorical data.

Algebra 1 - Unit 2: Descriptive Statistics - Lesson 14

Describe relative and relative conditional frequencies of two-way tables.

Algebra 1 - Unit 2: Descriptive Statistics - Lesson 20

Develop and answer statistical questions through data analysis of existing data using appropriate statistical measures and displays. (Part 1/3)

Algebra 1 - Unit 2: Descriptive Statistics - Lesson 21

Develop and answer statistical questions through data analysis of existing data using appropriate statistical measures and displays. (Part 2/3)

Algebra 1 - Unit 2: Descriptive Statistics - Lesson 22

Develop and answer statistical questions through data analysis of existing data using appropriate statistical measures and displays. (Part 3/3)
