3rd Grade Math

In this Common Core-aligned course, third graders develop an understanding of and fluency with multiplication and division within 100, fractions, area, and properties of two-dimensional shapes.

4th Grade Math

In this Common Core-aligned course, students develop an understanding of multi-digit multiplication and division; fraction equivalence and operations with fractions; and classification and analysis of geometric figures and their angles.

5th Grade Math

In this Common Core-aligned course, students continue to explore operations with fractions; develop understanding of operations containing whole numbers and decimals to hundredths; and familiarize themselves with volume.

6th Grade Math

Students learn key concepts in their progression towards middle school algebra, including ratios and rates, rational numbers, algebraic expressions and equations, area and volume, and statistics.

7th Grade Math

In this course students develop their skills in proportional reasoning, rational number computation, expressions and equations, geometry, and statistics and probability.

Geometry

Students further their understanding of geometric relationships and learn to make formal mathematical arguments about geometric situations, with a heavy emphasis on transformations and proofs.

5th Grade - Shapes and Volume

Students explore the volume of three-dimensional shapes, connecting it to the operations of multiplication and addition, as well as classify two-dimensional shapes hierarchically.

6th Grade - Rational Numbers

Students are introduced to integers and rational numbers, extending the number line to include negative values, understanding the order of rational numbers, and interpreting them in context.

7th Grade - Geometry

Students apply algebraic and proportional reasoning skills to investigate angle relationships, circle measurements, uniqueness of triangles, and solid figure application problems.

5th Grade - Patterns and the Coordinate Plane

Students are introduced to the coordinate plane and use it to represent the location of objects in space, as well as to represent patterns and real-world situations.

4th Grade - Shapes and Angles

Students are introduced to the more abstract concepts of points, lines, line segments, rays, and angles, as they learn to measure angles and then analyze shapes by their angles and lines of symmetry.

5th Grade Math - Unit 7: Patterns and the Coordinate Plane - Lesson 5

Plot horizontal and vertical lines on a coordinate plane and find patterns in their coordinates.

5th Grade Math - Unit 7: Patterns and the Coordinate Plane - Lesson 6

Draw parallel lines on a coordinate plane (optional).

5th Grade Math - Unit 7: Patterns and the Coordinate Plane - Lesson 7

Draw perpendicular lines on a coordinate plane (optional).

5th Grade Math - Unit 7: Patterns and the Coordinate Plane - Lesson 9

Draw symmetric figures on a coordinate plane.

5th Grade Math - Unit 7: Patterns and the Coordinate Plane - Lesson 10

Understand that a coordinate plane can be used to represent real-world information and interpret coordinate values of points in the context of a situation.

5th Grade Math - Unit 7: Patterns and the Coordinate Plane - Lesson 11

Represent real-world problems by graphing information represented on a table in the coordinate plane and interpret coordinate values of points in the context of a situation.

5th Grade Math - Unit 3: Shapes and Volume - Lesson 11

Classify shapes as polygons versus non-polygons and classify polygons according to their number of sides.

5th Grade Math - Unit 7: Patterns and the Coordinate Plane - Lesson 12

Represent real-world problems by graphing information given as a description of a situation in the coordinate plane and interpret coordinate values of points in the context of a situation.
