3rd Grade Math

In this Common Core-aligned course, third graders develop an understanding of and fluency with multiplication and division within 100, fractions, area, and properties of two-dimensional shapes.

5th Grade Math

In this Common Core-aligned course, students continue to explore operations with fractions; develop understanding of operations containing whole numbers and decimals to hundredths; and familiarize themselves with volume.

6th Grade Math

Students learn key concepts in their progression towards middle school algebra, including ratios and rates, rational numbers, algebraic expressions and equations, area and volume, and statistics.

7th Grade Math

In this course students develop their skills in proportional reasoning, rational number computation, expressions and equations, geometry, and statistics and probability.

8th Grade Math

Students make several advances in their algebraic reasoning as they solve systems of linear equations, use functions to describe relationships, and analyze two- and three-dimensional figures.

7th Grade - Operations with Rational Numbers

Students extend the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to include positive and negative rational numbers, and build fluency with evaluating numerical expressions.

6th Grade - Rational Numbers

Students are introduced to integers and rational numbers, extending the number line to include negative values, understanding the order of rational numbers, and interpreting them in context.

5th Grade - Multiplication and Division of Fractions

Students deepen their understanding of fraction multiplication and begin to explore to fraction division (and fractions as division), as well as apply this new understanding to the context of line plots.

6th Grade - Equations and Inequalities

Students discover how to use equations and inequalities to model relationships between quantities, and investigate the meaning of having a solution to an equation or an inequality.

6th Grade - Geometry

Students explore measurements of geometric figures in two-and three-dimensions, finding area, surface area, and volume in mathematical and real-world problems.

8th Grade - Pythagorean Theorem and Volume

Students learn about irrational numbers, approximating square roots of non-perfect square numbers, and investigate the well-known Pythagorean Theorem to solve for missing measures in right triangles.

7th Grade Math - Unit 2: Operations with Rational Numbers - Lesson 1

Represent rational numbers on the number line. Define opposites, absolute value, and rational numbers.

7th Grade Math - Unit 2: Operations with Rational Numbers - Lesson 2

Compare and order rational numbers. Write and interpret inequalities to describe the order of rational numbers.

6th Grade Math - Unit 4: Rational Numbers - Lesson 8

Write and interpret inequalities to compare rational numbers in real-world and mathematical problems.

6th Grade Math - Unit 6: Equations and Inequalities - Lesson 8

Define and identify solutions to inequalities.

6th Grade Math - Unit 6: Equations and Inequalities - Lesson 9

Write and graph inequalities for real-world conditions. (Part 1)

7th Grade Math - Unit 2: Operations with Rational Numbers - Lesson 9

Find and represent the distance between two rational numbers as the absolute value of their difference.

6th Grade Math - Unit 6: Equations and Inequalities - Lesson 10

Write and graph inequalities for real-world conditions. (Part 2)

7th Grade Math - Unit 2: Operations with Rational Numbers - Lesson 11

Use properties of operations to add and subtract rational numbers efficiently.
