Standards Map for 4th Grade English Language Arts

Each 4th grade Fishtank ELA unit deepens student mastery of a set of grade-level standards. These are split into priority standards (standards especially important for understanding the core text and knowledge of the unit) and spiral standards (standards that students repeatedly use as they engage with, discuss, or write about a text). To learn more about how student mastery of the standards develops based on the focus areas of each 4th grade unit, read our 4th Grade Standards Overview.
